All BRC engine kits convert specific two-stroke motorcycles only. At this time, we don't offer kits for Beta, Kawasaki, Sherco, TM or any four-stroke... unless your are an experienced fabricator and have access to a donor engine from a model listed below
BRC500 MY07-16 kits fit 2007-2016 KTM 250/300 EXC/SX/XC/XCW two-strokes. This kit also fits the Husaberg with KTM engines. This kit has been installed in 2005-2006 KTM 250/300 two-strokes.
BRC500 MY17-21 kit fits 2017-2023 KTM 250/300 EXC/SX/XC/XCW/TPi/CARB two-strokes. This also fits Husky and GasGas 250/300cc two-strokes. At this time, we don't offer a kit for 2023+ TBi bikes.
MY99+ YZM500 kits fits 1999-present Yamaha YZ250 two-strokes.
We use the complete transmission, clutch assy, kicker assy, water pump, intake, ignition, and covers where possible.
No, as the donor components are totally different than the 2 stroke (2T) components.
No warranty, but we will stand behind any manufacturer defects. Since the kit relies on the customer to assemble, we cannot warranty work from a source we do not control.
The factory Keihin carburetor with our baseline settings is best for BRC applications. We can also suggest settings for the 2017-2019 Mikuni carbs. A Technology Elevated SC2 SmartCarb is best for Snowbike applications.
No, we designed the kit to use readily available consumable components. Piston kit is Vertex Honda CR500 cast. Rod Kit is Pro-X CR500. Bearings and seals all come from KTM. All BRC gaskets are made by Cometic and can be ordered directly using your dealer.
The BRC500 MY17-21 kit has the TPi option. We cannot provide EFI for a previously carbureted engine.
No, we must have a donor engine supplied to use the internals from.
Yes, BRC will assemble your kit if you provide the donor engine/parts. Cost for this service is $1500 CAD.
BRC quotes in and accepts Canadian Currency.
We accept Wire Transfer, PayPal (all fees responsible by the customer), Bank Draft, Certified Cheque, Cash. Contact us for payment instructions.
BRC ships Worldwide. We generally use FedEx, but customers are free to arrange their own freight.
